Consignor Information

  Receive 65% of sale or 70%  if you volunteer for 3 hours .    
  Payment will be mailed within 15 days of the sale date. ($5 registration fee)    
  You must consign a minimum of 15 quality items.    
  We will only be accepting Fall/Winter items for this sale.    
  Please do not be offended if we do not accept some of your items, this enables Between Friends to maintain high quality sales.    
  Please limit Maternity clothes to 10 pieces only    

Between Friends is not responsible for lost, separated or damaged items.

Pricing

As a general rule you will want to price items at about 1/4 to 1/3 of their original retail price.  (unless you really want it gone, then .50 or $1.00)  If your item is a name-brand or boutique-brand such as Oshkosh, Gymboree, The Children's Place or other higher end, you can price closer to 1/3 original retail.  Clothing from Target or Wal-Mart should be priced on the lower end.  For example, if a GAP t-shirt can be purchased on sale for 11.99, you can reasonably price it around $4.00 for good condition, $5.00 for excellent condition, more if the tags are still on.  

The one exception to the 1/4-1/3 rule will be indoor/outdoor toys like kitchens and playhouses (Little Tykes type items).  These types of toys are in higher demand and you can expect to get as much as 1/3-1/2 of original retail price, especially if they have only been used indoors and are in great condition.  A great question to ask yourself is "what would I pay for this?"  However, try not to price with your emotions.  Because of treasured memories that you have attached to an item, you will always believe your items are "worth" more than someone else purchasing them.  Just remember - no one can buy your memories... you will have those forever.

TAGGING

print and use the between friends clothing tags:

  1. Secure clothing tags with safety pins to the front upper right hand corner. (No straight pins or stickers on clothing)

  2. Use numerical sizing...3M, 18M, 2T... NOT small, medium or large.

  3. All clothing must be on hangers with the hanger forming a "?" when looking at the front of the item.  (Secure pants/shorts with safety pins to hangers)

  1. Shoes should be tied together or placed in a Ziplock type bag.

  2. Onesies or small items should be placed in a Ziplock type bag.

  3. All toys and baby equipment should be clean and in working condition.  Batteries should also be included.

  4. Secure all parts of toys to ensure proper consignor credit.

  5. NO STUFFED ANMALS

Good presentation sells!

Sort items by gender and size prior to drop-off.  This will make it easier for you to place your items quickly on the sale floor.

Pick-up is 4:00-5:00 on Saturday for any unsold items.  Any items not picked up by 5:00 will become property of Between Friends and donated to a nonprofit organization benefiting children.
